Some helpful reviews

We take pride in being able to provide you the best possible service and outcome for your trucks and heavy vehicles.

They were incredibly helpful and professional from the outset, the administration person I talked to multiple times was exceptional.  The mechanic was thorough and their price point for the work represented good value.

I've used SEQ Heavy Vehicle & Maintenance a number of times and have always been very impressed by their reliable and ethical business. They have always been honest and upfront and have never failed to provide anything other than exceptional workmanship, and competitive prices.

What is a defect notice?

Things to remember about heavy vehicle certificates of inspections:

  • If your vehicle is over 4.5 tonne, you are required to obtain a Heavy Vehicle Certificate of Inspection (COI), yearly (every 12 months) by a Queensland Transport approved examiner.
  • According to Queensland Transport regulations, Truck and Heavy Vehicle owners must obtain a yearly Certificate of Inspection (COI) for registration purposes which ensures the safety of the vehicle
  • a HVRAS Certificate is also required (in addition to a Certificate of Inspection / COI) should your registration have lapsed or you are registering the Heavy Vehicle for the first time (over 12 months in age).
  • Heavy Vehicles over 16tonne GVM that are in current registration are required to be taken over the pits at your nearest Queensland Transport branch.
